The next Open House weekend at La Petite Escalère will take place on June 27 and 28th, 2015.

At this occasion, we propose two events:

During the whole week-end

Projection of a selection of videos by German artist Katinka Bock.

Her installation, Tomorrow’s Sculpture, specifically created for the garden in 2014, can be seen at LPE until November 2015.
With the galerie Jocelyn Wolff, Paris.

Denis Darzacq
En conversation avec Isabelle Darrigrand

La Petite Escalère welcomes French photographer Denis Darzacq for a conversation around his work with photography collector Isabelle Darrigrand. For the past twenty-five years, Denis Darzacq’s photos have been the subject of numerous exhibitions in France and abroad. A solo exhibition featuring  two of his latest series, Act and Comme un seul homme, is currently on view at La Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris.

Guided by the invited artist Denis Darzacq, 1st and 3rd year students at the École Supérieure d’Art des Rocailles in Biarritz have developped personal projects around La Petite Escalère. A selection of those projects will be on view at La Petite Escalère during the Open House Week-end.

Cole Swensen, Ours (Le nôtre)
Reading and dialogue with Pierre Vilar

In partnership with Les Rencontres à Lire in Dax, La Petite Escalère welcomes American poet Cole Swensen for a reading and dialogue with Pierre Vilar, assistant professor at the UPPA-Bayonne in Contemporary Literature. Literature Professor at Brown University in Providence, RI (United States), translator of several French contemporary poets, Cole Swensen has published several collection of poetry and received many honors.  Ours (Le nôtre), published in 2013 by José Corti publisher, is her 4th book translated into French.

In partnership with Les Rencontres à Lire in Dax and the Jakin bookstore, Bayonne.
